When I realized that Israeli fashion icon Shahaf Segel decided to feature my scarves in her exciting one-week photo shoot celebrating Israeli fashion, I was completely filled with joy. Segal is not only a respected trendsetter on the local scene; her courage and perseverance are a true source of inspiration to me and many other designers and women.
Segal’s story is the embodiment of being present and knowing how to embrace change. For 15 years she was one Israel’s most successful PR executives for fashion brands; She’s an actress, was a journalist and columnist. She was even named one of Tel Aviv’s coolest moms. In 2019 she’s shocked the industry by announcing she was leaving fashion to be charge of public relations at Brown Hotels. A bold and unexpected move, but such is Segal. Bold and unexpected.
Today, with tourism at an historic low due to the Corona virus, Segal reinvents herself once again. The almost 50, mother to two young sons found herself with no work and joined a local food delivery service. Three times a week she hops on her bike and pedals between restaurants and customers delivering lunch and dinner to people in their home and offices. Because when you need to put food on the table, you do what it takes.
And in her free time, she produced a wonderful fashion-shoot to pay tribute and support Israeli fashion.
Check out my Enigma scarf featuring in Wednesday of this fabulous one-week personal fashion dairy, On Thursday, there are bunch of colorful scarves on her brilliant head.
Thank you Shahaf for being such an inspiration, through these crazy times!
Final note:
Since writing this post, Shahaf has gone back to her job at Brown in a part time capacity. Their hotels are an expression of style and comfort and worth checking out next time you plan a vacation in Israel (hopefully very soon!).

I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. Its pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
Having read this I thought it was rather informative. I appreciate you spending some time and energy to put this informative article together. I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worth it! Brett Martainn Colver
Whoa! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Superb choice of colors!
